Welcome!
Welcome to the website of our beautiful home in Urla, a small village on the Aegean Sea. Urla is located between Izmir, Turkey's third largest city, and the famous resort town of Cesme. With this site we will try to give you an impression of the area and all it has to offer as well as the villa and the park in which it is located. Turkey - and especially the areas of Izmir, Cesme and the historical Ephesus have everything to ensure a memorable and funfilled holiday. Day trips (or longer) to various Greek islands are also a possibility.
Turkey, particularly the West coast, has been a popular tourist destination for many decades. This is especially due to the magnificent ancient culture this region has to offer. The Turks have however always realized that this coastal region with the breathtaking ancient sites of Ephesus and Pergamon, has more to offer: many of the Turks from Istanbul or Izmir have a holiday home in the coastal region between Urla and Cesme. Besides culture - remember Izmir was the ancient city of Smyrna - this region offers beaches, sailing, windsurfing, golf and above all a beautiful climate. Some call it the coastal paradise on the azure Aegean others regard it as a great crossroads of the ancient world. Depending on what you're looking for, it can be either or both.
Below a few pictures taken during daytrips we took from our house in Urla: Pasaport Quay in Izmir, Ephesus, Pergamon, back home in Urla.
